AAS Astronomy Ambassadors Program — 2018 Application

Thank you for your interest in the AAS Astronomy Ambassadors program, which supports early-career AAS members in improving their communication skills and provides access to resources and contacts for doing outreach to school children and the public. The Astronomy Ambassadors program will conduct a two-day workshop at the 231st AAS meeting in National Harbor, Maryland, 8-12 January 2018. Participants will benefit from ongoing support and discussion following the workshop through a web-based community.

To apply to become an Astronomy Ambassador, please complete this online form, as well as the Commitment & Endorsement Form (PDF). Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required; others are optional. All application materials are due by Thursday, 19 October 2017.

NOTE: You must be a member of the AAS and must register for the 231st AAS meeting to participate in this workshop. If you are not yet a member of the AAS, you may join during the meeting-registration process. If you are a member, please sign in via the "Sign In" link at upper right. This will pre-populate many of the form fields from your member profile.
